Port of Brunswick re-opens after car carrier incident
While the port may be open, officials are still taking care not to disturb the capsized Golden Ray, fearing that it could slip into the shipping channel or begin to release its 300,000 gallons of fuel. USCG says vessel movements will be approved on case-by-case basis
‘We want to make sure we go at slow speeds, that there’s no wake from the vessel that would shift the capsized vessel in any way,’ said Griff Lynch, executive director of the Georgia Ports Authority
