Shipowners are unlikely to invest the higher costs of reducing methane pollution from gas engines without clear limits on methane emissions, according to engine-maker WinGD
WinGD says reducing methane slip is a technical problem with many possible solutions. But lack of regulation makes shipowners less likely to invest in the pricier technology needed to make those solutions come to the fore
