Europe’s box ports still suffering from lower volumes
An increase in throughput during the third quarter of the year has still not made up for the reduction in volumes that hit during the lockdown-driven retrenchment in April to June
While US ports have seen surging imports lead to record-breaking quarters, the picture in Europe is less rosy. Improvements in the most-recent quarter have left ports struggling to match last year’s figures
