New York and New Jersey volumes soften as throughput losses even across coasts

East coast’s largest gateway volumes fall 20.1% year on year in April but were 7.1% above 2019 levels

The port of New York and New Jersey continued to see volumes fall from last year’s records but gained on 2019 levels after two months of falling slightly below. Meanwhile, April cargo volumes declined at virtually the same levels between the US west and east coasts
