EU to set obligations for fuel suppliers to produce renewable fuels
The Council of the European Union has voted in favour of the Renewable Energy Directive that includes sub-targets for renewable fuels supplied to the transport sector
The revision of the directive aims to send the necessary signals to companies in the whole supply chain to kick-start production of renewable hydrogen-derived fuels, as it also sets an obligation for fuel suppliers to produce these fuels in 2030
