Insurers demand names of dozens of newbuildings fitted with potentially unsafe fire panels
Over 40 vessels are thought have the affected panels installed. Underwriters are not yet clear whether any vessels will need to be recalled to yards under warranty
The Finnish manufacturer of fire-resistant panels used cruiseships and ferries is working with flag state and class officials to address a problem with some of its products that do not meet the required safety standard, but insurers are demanding transparency as they assess how much the fallout will cost
