Closing ammonia price gap possible, but far from easy, GMF study finds
Narrowing the gap is dependent on US and EU subsidies, national export credit, cheap finance, obliging charterers and much else
The Global Maritime Forum found an ammonia gas carrier would cost 50-130% more to run than a conventional gas carrier, with clean ammonia costing an average 200-400% more than normal fuel in early years. Closing the green price gap can be done this decade, but the challenge is daunting
