Cosco Shipping bosses hand back public money used to play golf
China’s state shipping conglomerate has been asked by Beijing’s anti-corruption agency to speed up the disposal of its remaining golf membership cards purchased by some company officials for personal entertainment using public money. A total of about $1.8m of cash has been recovered from the disposal of 47 cards so far
After the outrage at the misuse of public money, plans have been drawn up by the company to ‘clean off’ the cards within a time limit, according to the Chinese authorities
