Polaris Shipping’s chief executive Kim Wan-Jung was sentenced to six months' prison for not reporting defects on the vessel. He was not found guilty in his obligation to maintain balance of the ship
Families of the victims made clear they though the the court had handed down a derisory punishment. They said they would appeal to hold Mr Kim liable for the loss of the seafarers’ lives
