US ports plan 24/7 supply chain operations to cut delays
Long Beach and Los Angeles plan to accelerate throughput and reduce congestion by increasing the operating hours at marine terminals, giving more opportunity for drayage drivers to collect and return containers
The Pacific Merchant Shipping Association said dwell times were up in August with the increased throughput at the two west coast ports
