Mid-life ships will struggle to comply with CII targets, says report
Vessels in the 10-15 year range currently fall in categories C, D and E of the Carbon Intensity Indicator, meaning owners will be required to make significant improvements to keep them active
Finnish technology business Wärtsilä warns that more than 80% of bulk carriers and container ships will be in the lowest CII category by 2030 if no action is taken. This will damage their employability
