Greeks lead frenzied first-half secondhand buying
Deals chronicled by Allied Shipbroking reveal a fivefold increase in bulk carriers bought by Greek owners in the first six months of 2021 as S&P activity overall is on course to exceed levels of recent years
Activity in the dry bulk sector showed the greatest increase in comparison with last year’s first half, with sales rising from 193 to 532, while spending on bulkers more than tripled to $7.5bn
