Grimaldi ro-ro vessel fire in New Jersey claims lives of two firefighters

Fire broke out while vessel was alongside at Port of Newark last night

The 47,000-gross tonne Costa d’Avoria was completing loading operations when a fire started on deck number 10. The vessel’s owner, Grimaldi Deep Sea, has confirmed that two local firefighters lost their lives in the firefighting operations
